Technical Environmental Consulting for Waste Transport

+

-

Our team provides comprehensive environmental consulting, covering all aspects of waste management, including the permitting required for cross-border shipments. We assist in identifying the most suitable foreign facilities for proper disposal or recovery based on the type of waste.

EU Regulation on Waste Shipments

+

-

Transboundary waste transport within Europe is regulated by EC Regulation No. 1013/2006, which outlines procedures and controls based on the origin, destination, and type of waste. Gea Consulting supports companies through the entire process, preparing documentation and selecting the right treatment facilities to ensure legal, compliant operations.

Full Management of International Waste Transport

+

-

We handle the entire administrative and authorization process, acting as official notifiers throughout the supply chain. This ensures that every operation is compliant, efficient, and easy to manage, helping businesses meet their environmental obligations without added complexity.

Waste Export Notification Process

A key requirement in cross-border waste transport is the notification procedure.
Before shipping, the producer, or “notifier”, must submit written notice to the competent authority, along with a standardized form, supporting documents, and a financial guarantee agreement. The authority then shares the documentation with destination and transit countries. Transport can only begin once written approval is received from all parties involved.

This process is mandatory for companies authorized to handle international waste and registered with the National Register of Environmental Operators, ensuring full compliance with current legislation.
